Boston Non Importation Agreement

The Boston Non Importation Agreement was created by the merchants and traders of Boston. Since the Townsend Revenue Act placed taxes on glass, paint, oil, lead, paper, and tea, the Bostonians agreed to not import or send for items from Great Britain. This agreement happened on August 1, 1768.
