Revelry at the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum
Celebrate Independence Day on July 1st, 2nd and 3rd at the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum! Guests can experience a bustling colonial wharf through hands-on activities, games and interactive performances as part of Boston’s famous Harborfest. Perfect for all ages, food and drinks will also be available in Abigail’s Tea Room. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children.
Boston Harborfest
Celebrate the 4th of July for an entire week with the annual Harborfest. There will be more than 200 events during the festival, over half of which are free. Bring your family and friends to enjoy this unforgettable event.
USS Constitution Turn Around
Each year on the 4th of July, the USS Constitution makes its journey from the Charlestown Navy Yard to Castle Island accompanied by the USCGC Eagle. Also known as “Old Ironsides,” the annual voyage celebrates the world’s oldest commissioned warship. Additionally, several boating companies offer cruises to follow the USS Constitution through the harbor.
Explore The Freedom Trail
The annual Footloose on the Freedom Trail event is a 3-hour guided walking tour of Boston’s Freedom Trail from Boston Common to the USS Constitution. Learn about the city’s rich history up close and experience this one-of-a-kind patriotic tour for the 4th of July. General admission tickets are $20 per person.
4th of July Concert on the Charles River Esplanade
This popular outdoor event is exciting for all ages. The Boston Pops perform a beautiful rendition of Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture” that includes real cannons and live ringing of church bells. Stick around after the concert for a spectacular fireworks show. There are restricted access points and public transportation is recommended.
