George Washington’s Birthday

The man who would become the first president of the United States was born on February 22, 1732. He led the colonies to victory over Great Britain and served as commander-in-chief of the Continental Army from 1775-1783. He was the unanimous choice to serve as this country’s first president and he remains the only president to have received 100 percent of the electoral votes.
